Up to now, the coronavirus spared Nepal largely, causing only 18 deaths and 5335 positive cases (as of 13 June). According to the Nepalese authorities, no cases were reported in the Okhaldunga district, where our clinic is located. This is no doubt thanks to the quick intervention of the government to restrict movement of people and clear guidance on how to deal with cases. However, the cases are rising rapidly since early May.
In late May, in spite of the slowdown with the coronavirus and a lock-down from 14 March extended until 14 June, the Chhermading clinic just received its first furniture. A new step to making the clinic ready for opening. Here are the latest pictures from Nepal.
